The September school holidays are upon us and unfortunately already one school has already been targeted.

During the first weekend of holidays, offender(s) have allegedly broken into a school in Gin Gin and caused significant damaged to the school and property.

Don’t let your local school become an easy target for criminal activity whilst they sit empty during the holidays.

The community can help to reduce criminal activity by reporting any suspicious behaviour to ‘School Watch’.

The School Watch Program is a partnership between the Department of Education and the Queensland Police Service,  it encourages everyone to look out for after-hours crime in our schools.

If you see anything suspicious, please don’t attempt to intervene. Instead, call the School Watch number of 13 17 88.

If you see a crime in progress, please call police.

If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.

You can report information about crime anonymously to Crime Stoppers, a registered charity and community volunteer organisation, by calling 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppersqld.com.au 24hrs per day.
