On September 4, Bundaberg Police held the annual Day for Daniel event during Child Protection Week.
Day for Daniel is Australia’s largest child safety awareness and education day.
This event hosted nine schools with 600 children attending the event.
There were also two special guests, Bruce and Denise Morcombe from the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
Bruce and Denise attended to show their support and promote a strong message to the Bundaberg schools in relation to child safety – recognise, react and report.
The event showed great support from the Queensland Police Service, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, Queensland Ambulance Service, State Emergency Services, Surf Lifesaving, Parks and Wildlife, Crimes Stoppers, Australian Army, Bundaberg Regional Council and the Bundaberg PCYC.
Works and planning are in place for next years event already.
Thank you to all who attended and showed their support for child safety.
