Letters of the Law Crime 1 Letters of the Law Crime 2

Crime occurs when there is a location, offender and a target.

In policing we refer to this as a crime triangle and raise awareness that an offender is either organised or disorganised in the way they commit an offence.

An offender looks for an opportunity, considers their ability to commit the offence and their motivation to do so.

Community members and business owners can assist police with preventing and reducing crime by making it as difficult as possible for an offender to gain entry and to reduce the rewards by keeping valuables secure and out of sight.

Why not conduct a home security or business audit these holidays?

A great way to start is to download the forms from our Queensland Police Service website.

To find out more about crime statistics in your area, visit our QPS Crime Map online here or consider subscribing to a Neigbourhood Watch group near you.

Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.

Crime Stoppers is a registered charity and community volunteer organisation working in partnership with the Queensland Police Service.

For all non-urgent police reporting or general police inquiries contact Policelink on 131 444 or Policelink.qld.gov.au 24hrs a day.
