Officers from General Duties, Child Protection Investigation Unit and Criminal Investigation Branch have been busy solving crime in the past couple of days.
Recently solved offences include:
- On March 31 Bundaberg police intercepted a vehicle in Branyan Street, Svensson Heights for a roadside breath test. A 17-year-old Bundaberg North woman was issued a Traffic Infringement Notice for Driver hold driver licence but not authorised to drive class of vehicle. The woman held a CA class licence and was allegedly driving a manual vehicle. Consequence = $392 monetary fine.
- On March 31 police responded to a fire where a tree was allegedly set alight by a trio of young people. Fortunately the fire was suppressed by emergency services and prevented the likely consequences of damage to nearby vehicles and infrastructure. A 14-year-old Avoca boy has since been dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act for lighting an unauthorised fire.
- On March 31 Gin Gin police executed a search warrant at a Gin Gin Mount Perry Road, Mount Perry address where it will be alleged dangerous drugs, drug related items and restricted weapons were located. A 40-year-old Mount Perry man was issued a Notice to Appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 6.
- On March 31 Gin Gin police executed a search warrant at an Old Wallaville Road, Wallaville address where it will be alleged dangerous drugs and related items were located. A 31-year-old Wallaville man was issued a Notice to Appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 6.
- On March 31 Bundaberg police intercepted a vehicle in Walla Street, Bundaberg South for a roadside breath test where a 45-year-old Bundaberg South woman was allegedly found to be affected by an intoxicating substance. The woman has been charged with one count each of adult did drive under U.I.L, possessing dangerous drugs and fail to properly dispose of needle and syringe. The woman is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 20.
- On March 31 Bundaberg police intercepted a vehicle in Perry Street, Bundaberg North for a licence check. A 26-year-old Boyne Island man was issued a Notice to Appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on April 29 in relation to one count each of fail to properly dispose of needle and syringe and driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence Disqualified by Court Order. The vehicle was subsequently impounded due to the vehicle related offence.
- On March 30 Childers police intercepted a vehicle in Churchill Street, Childers at a static roadside breath testing site. A 40-year-old Apple Tree Creek woman was issued a Traffic Infringement Notice for driver with open driving licence recently expired no more than one year. Consequence = $180 monetary fine.
- On March 30 Bundaberg detectives executed a search warrant at a Tarakan Street, Svensson Heights address where it will be alleged drug related items were located. A 44-year-old Svensson Heights man was considered eligible for drug diversion following investigations.
- On March 30 Bundaberg police intercepted a vehicle in the vicinity of Bundaberg Airport, Kensington where it will be alleged dangerous drugs and related items were located. A 36-year-old Agnes Water man was considered eligible for drug diversion following investigations.
- On March 30 a 42-year-old Kulangoor man was arrested and charged following investigations into a burglary offence which allegedly occurred at a Meadowvale address between March 25 and 29. The man has been charged with one count of burglary and commit indictable offence and is scheduled to appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on April 22.
