Support your local SES on Wednesday, November 18 by wearing the colour orange!
WOW Day is a chance for the local community to recognise and show appreciation to our State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers. Orange is the uniform colour worn by SES volunteers.
There are many SES volunteers across Bundaberg Patrol Group who have certainly shown their dedication and community helping spirit when assisting locals during the well known floods, natural disasters and emergencies that have occurred in our areas. Did you collect or have sand bags prepared and delivered by our SES volunteers?
The SES and volunteers also assist police during emergency services training exercises, investigations, missing person searches and at times become caterers when police need to be fed and rehydrated during all day road policing traffic operations, or guarding crime scenes.
SES involvement in the PCYC Emergency Services Cadets program, provides opportunities for young people to develop leadership and emergency response skills.
