Today is our last day of the inaugural Queensland Road Safety Week. It’s also a Friday, which generally means there’ll be people ending the week with after work drinks or heading out for a family dinner or sporting event, which may include alcoholic drinks.
You’ve made those social plans, so if you plan to drink, then plan to get home safely. It makes sense to stay at a mate’s place or have a designated driver or catch a taxi – a number of safe options are available. Just remember, you can still be over the limit in the morning, so avoid driving. You can also be pulled over by police officers for a random roadside saliva test to detect any presence of illegal drugs.
