From today (December 17) new restrictions come into place for people who are unvaccinated.
Inspector Anne Vogler, Bundaberg Patrol Inspector said that the aim is to adopt a communicative, educative and a compassionate approach to compliance.
“My officers will be out and about ensuring that patrons and businesses are doing the right thing to ensure the safety of the community,” Inspector Vogler said.
“This is a shared responsibility of both patrons and businesses.
“Police will be reasonable in their actions however, we cannot tolerate blatant disregard for CHO directives.
“We will not accept poor behaviour by patrons who are targeting staff merely doing their job.”
If you are not fully vaccinated, you will not be able to attend:
- Hospitality venues such as cafes, restaurants, clubs and pubs.
- Indoor entertainment venues such as nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, casinos and adult entertainment venues.
- Outdoor entertainment activities such as stadiums, theme parks, zoos and showgrounds.
- Festival venues where ticketed entry applies.
- Government owned galleries, museums and libraries.
