Well, not literally, but a bit of information following recent speeding offences.
Between January 1 and May 5, police have issued Traffic Infringement Notices to seven motorists for high end speed offences in Bundaberg Patrol Group.
These offences relate to allegedly travelling at more than 40km/h over the designated speed limit.
- January 21: Goodwood Road, Alloway involving a 46-year-old male
- February 19: Bruce Highway, Isis River involving a 54-year-old male
- March 1: Childers Road, Elliott involving a 45-year-old male
- March 17: Bruce Highway, Isis River involving a 24-year-old male
- April 16: Goodwood Road, Thabeban involving a 39-year-old male
- April 17: Bruce Highway, Isis Central involving a 20-year-old male
- April 19: Bruce Highway, Eureka involving a 23-year-old female
Speeding infringements issued in Bundaberg Patrol Group between 6am January 1 to 6am May 5 are:
- Exceed speed limit in speed zone by less than 13km/h = 600
- Exceed speed limit in speed zone by at least 13km/h but not more than 20km/h = 491
- Exceed speed limit in speed zone by more than 20km/h but not more than 30km/h = 65
- Exceed speed limit in speed zone by more than 30km/h but not more than 40km/h = 18
- Exceed speed limit in school zones = 73
- Other speed related infringements = 693
As you can read, it’s a shock to see these high numbers in just over four months.
