Burglary spike continues…please help us stop this

Another reminder from police across Bundaberg Patrol Group to please put in place some new habits to ensure you keep your home, shed, vehicle and property safe and secure. As always, lock it or lose it!

Since March 17, more reports relating to alleged burglary offences in the following areas have been received:

March 21

  • O’Connell Street, Millbank

March 20

  • Martin Tobin Drive, Horsecamp

March 19

  • Stedman Street, Norville
  • McCarthy Road, Avenell Heights
  • Lamb Street, Walkervale
  • Westville Court, Avoca

March 18

  • St Lucia Crescent, Avoca
  • Avenell Street, Avenell Heights

March 17

  • Fairymead Road, Bundaberg North
  • Blackbutt Street, Gooburrum

Offending thieves are targeting household items, animals, cash, ID, financial institution cards, electronic devices/phones, sporting equipment and safes.

You can also assist police by providing a good description of anyone you see committing a crime or acting suspiciously. Remember to:

  • Keep calm
  • Give your name, address and telephone number
  • Report where and what is happening
  • Try and get a good description of the person/s
  • Stay on the phone
  • If you can safely do so, keep watching and continue to report what is happening
