Today was an opportunity for police and local hoteliers and moteliers to meet, share information and discuss ways we can all work together to keep our Bundaberg Patrol Group community safe.
We also welcomed representatives who form part of the backpacker and safe night precinct committees.
Topics covered included:
- Various roles of police including crime prevention, crime management, disaster management and overall command of a policing division and patrol group.
- Crime trends such as stealing from motor vehicle offences, anti-social behaviours, where alcohol and drugs may be involved and pay-wave fraud offences.
- Promoting the benefits of subscribing to our myPolice Bundaberg blog and downloading our Policelink app.
- Being prepared for natural disasters and where to access Get Ready information.
We’re determined to build greater relationships with the accommodation and hospitality industries over the next few months.
