Bundaberg police are currently investigating a break and enter offence that occurred at a property in Meadowvale.

Sometime between October 7 and October 10, unknown offenders have forcibly entered a shed situated on the Rosedale Road property and taken five boxes containing a total of fifty “Den-Co-Fume” cartridges.

“Den-Co-Fume” is considered dangerous, and contains sodium nitrate and carbon. The cartridges are easily ignited and exposure to fumes can cause carbon monoxide poisoning. Once ignited, the cartridge initially emits a dark black smoke that dissipates, followed by a colourless, odourless gas.

If you locate any of these cartridges, police urge you to call 000 immediately to report the discovery. Do not touch or attempt to move the cartridges.

Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.

Crime Stoppers is a registered charity and community volunteer organisation working in partnership with the Queensland Police Service.

For all non-urgent police reporting or general police inquiries contact Policelink on 131 444 or Policelink.qld.gov.au 24hrs a day.
