This week is Child Protection Week, a time to focus attention on child protection being everybody’s business.
Police across the Bundaberg Patrol Group work in partnership with Government and non-Government organisations throughout the year, where caring for children and keeping them safe is a shared responsibility.
On September 1, Childers police officers shared the big top with young people and local businesses at Bundaberg Regional Libraries ‘Read to Me’ day.
It was an opportunity to promote and encourage language and literacy, something we use daily in policing, although this time it was with the younger generation and in a different environment.
Special thanks to Senior Constable Sharon Morgan who photographed the event.
