Safer Road - old style 4

Bundaberg Police have showed off their funky side by proving they too can show the Beatles how it is done, but also show that back to school is no joke for safety on our roads.

Bundaberg Police are showing in their album cover titled ‘Crossroads’, cleverly named after the Beatles famous cover ‘Abbey Road’, that there will be high visibility policing around our schools and that they want all children to be able to get to and from school safely.

The safety of the Bundaberg community is the number one priority for police and people failing to comply will not be tolerated.

Motorists are reminded of the infringements that could be issued if police see you put anyone at risk around our schools:

  • Speeding – fines ranging from $157 to $1099
  • Fail to give to pedestrian/bicycle on pedestrian crossing – $353 and three points
  • Stop contrary to continuous yellow edge line – $47

Motorists are reminded to be safe and cautious on the roads, especially in school zones and that the speed limit is 40km/hr during specified times, both before and after school.
