
Sunday June 5
- Thabeban Street, Norville: At approximately 6.30am a 53-year-old Torquay man was intercepted by police for an alleged speeding infringement and roadside breath test. The man was later issued with a Notice to Appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 30 in relation to an alleged drink driving charge below 0.05 whilst holding a provisional licence. A 24-hour driver licence suspension was also imposed. The man was also issued a traffic infringement notice for an alleged speed offence of 91km in a 60km zone. Consequence: $549.00.
- Bourbong Street, Bundaberg Central: At approximately 1am a 25-year-old Bundaberg West man was issued an infringement notice in relation to a public nuisance disorderly offence in or near a licensed premises. Consequence: $706.00. The man was also issued an Initial Police Banning Notice. At approximately 2.20am the man was observed by police and arrested and charged with one count each of contravene police banning notice and unlawful possession of a weapon (knife). The man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 27.
- Takalvan Street, Bundaberg West: At approximately 7.45pm a 58-year-old male tourist was intercepted by police for a Roadside Breath Test. The man was later issued with a Notice to Appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 20 in relation to an alleged drink driving charge 0.05 and under 0.10. A 24-hour driver licence suspension was also imposed.
Saturday June 4
- Heidke Street, Bundaberg West: At approximately 8pm a 24-year-old female tourist was intercepted by police for a Roadside Breath Test. The woman was later issued with a Notice to Appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 27 in relation to an alleged drink driving charge below 0.05 whilst holding a provisional licence. A 24-hour driver licence suspension was also imposed.
- Sims Road, Walkervale: At approximately 3.40am a 31-year-old Walkervale man was intercepted by police for a roadside breath test. The man was later issued with a Notice to Appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 30 in relation to an alleged drink driving charge 0.05 and under 0.10. A 24-hour driver licence suspension was also imposed.
