Saturday can be the start of a weekend away from work or a working day for many, a sporting day for families and also a good time to check on home, business and vehicle security.
What’s interesting is that offences reported this month related to burglary and enter with intent have not as yet occurred on a Saturday.
Bundaberg Patrol Group officers are currently investigating these offences:
Burglary, with breaking
- Mulgrave Street, Bundaberg West: Between 9:00pm on March 14 and 5:00pm on March 15, it is alleged that offender/s have attempted to gain entry to a home at various locations and were successful through a laundry window. Offender/s allegedly entered a number of rooms in the home and have stolen jewellery, a key, Samsung television and a Panasonic DVD. QP1600460965
- Rural Vue Terrace, Avoca: Between 10:30am and 1:30pm on March 13, it is alleged that offender/s have removed a fly screen from a front window and moved a wheelie bin from its usual place. Offender/s have allegedly gained entry to the home and entered bedrooms, opened drawers and cupboards and moved items around. QP1600446307
- Water Street, Bundaberg South: Between 5:00pm on March 12 and 6:30am on March 13, it is alleged that offender/s have entered a complex and smashed a glass panel beside a front door. It is alleged the front door was unlocked from the inside and entry was gained, with no property reported stolen. QP1600444910
- Kevins Place Thabeban: Between midnight and 4:00am on March 12, it is alleged that offender/s have opened a side gate where they have attempted to enter a home by a window. It is alleged the offender/s have looked into the vehicle and have placed their hands on the vehicle, although no entry was made. A pet dog may have distracted and deterred the offender/s. Enter with intent, other premises, with breaking
- Bungadoo Road, Bullyard: Between 3:00pm on March 13 and 7:40am on March 18, it is alleged that offender/s have gained entry to a shed by cutting a chain. Alleged property stolen includes a ride on mower, electric thicknesser, drop saw, bench saw, mig welder, air compressor, battery operated nail gun, 12 volt camping fridge and a petrol generator. - Killer Street, Svensson Heights: Between 12:00pm on March 13 and 7:30am on March 14, it is alleged that offender/s have gained entry to a shed by forcing a window open. Alleged property stolen includes a telescopic chain saw, brush cutters and a petrol hedge trimmer. Offenders have then moved to another area and have allegedly cut a shade cloth and then stolen approximately 25 orchid seedlings/plants. Offenders have gained access to other areas by allegedly removing padlocks, where no further property was stolen. QP1600451536
- Baxter Street, Bargara: Between 2:00pm on March 9 and 6:00am on March 10, it is alleged offender/s have entered an underground car park area. Offender/s have allegedly entered a store room area and stolen approximately 14 bedside lamps and one vacuum cleaner. QP1600424540
- Woondooma Street, Bundaberg Central: Between 3:00am on March 7 and 5:00am on March 8, it is alleged offender/s have damaged a rear door to gain access. When inside offender/s have allegedly entered an office and store room area, ransacked property and stolen a sum of cash. QP1600411057
- Mill Road, Monto: Between 5:00pm on February 28 and 1:00pm on March 5, it is alleged offender/s have gained entry by allegedly jemmying a back window. Offenders have allegedly stolen a MP3 bluetooth tower, Bosch GWS commercial grinder, CAG 1800 grinder, Ozito detail sander and a Ryobi power pack. QP1600395327
Thornhill Street, Bundaberg North: Two offences at same address
- Between 4:45pm and 5:45pm on March 3, it is alleged offender/s have gained entry through a locked gate to a heritage listed property. Offender/s have allegedly thrown a small concrete brick sized paver through a window, causing glass to smash onto carpet inside. QP1600384093
- Between 12:30pm on March 1 and 10:45am on March 2, it is alleged offender/s have used a brick to smash a glass door panel and were unsuccessful in gaining entry. QP1600374460
