Say g’day in the lead up to Australia Day

RBT at ChildersOver the coming days Bundaberg Patrol Group officers are continuing their traffic enforcement to reduce road trauma. When you’re stopped for a RBT and licence check, why not say G’day to your local police.

You might be thinking, oh I’ve got to get somewhere and now I’ll be late. Instead, during the short space of time you’ll be paused, you should consider:

  • What does road safety mean?
  • How many crashes or fatalities do you expect to see or hear about each holiday time?
  • Think about that statistic and then think about how it would impact upon your life and loved ones.

We need this number to be zero and you can help us by remembering the Fatal 5 and obeying road rules, which are there to keep everyone safe. Stopping for a RBT or seeing police intercepting a driver, may just save future traffic incidents occurring.

Feel free to let police know what road safety means to you and share your message further on social media at Join the Drive to Save Lives.

Enjoy the last weekend of school holidays and Australia Day, by keeping safe at the same time.
