Wet weather in Bourbong Street

While we welcome the rain, we ask all motorists to help us out with road safety during the wet weather we’re currently experiencing.

  1. Check for traffic updates and conditions at 131940.
  2. Be prepared – ensure you have good tyre tread (minimum 1.5mm).
  3. Use your headlights on low beam for better visibility. Keep fog lights off – it’s not foggy here, but wet and rainy.
  4. Drive slowly – remember speed signs indicate maximum speed in good weather conditions.
  5. Double your driving distance between the car in front of you, so make sure there is at least four seconds between you and the vehicle in front, in wet weather.

Finally, if it’s flooded – forget it!
