Do you see what we see?

BPG GlassesThat is the question and the answer is both YES and NO.

YES – police and community members have the opportunity to see the frequently used roads we travel to get to shops, schools, work, businesses, community and tourist locations. We can see the surrounding environments we pass each day. We also have the opportunity to see the local news stories from our various print, radio, television and social media platforms.

NO – community members won’t see all the reports police receive about various offences or circumstances, and would be unaware of the investigations conducted. An investigation may be solved quickly when police have evidence to support facts and at other times the investigation may be on hold or the report filed for a period of time, due to limited information or evidence.

Our vision is to have members of the community work with us here in Bundaberg Police Patrol Group to stop crime and make Queensland safer.

If you are a business owner or manager, we encourage you to install CCTV cameras with a view to providing another tool to help solve any offences that may occur in that vicinity, or help us piece together movements of people who may be a suspect, offender, witness or missing person.

If you are a community member, we encourage you to share community news and crime alerts from our myPolice Bundaberg blog and join up to meet our Neighbourhood Watch Groups. Everyone can consider downloading the Policelink app to report non-urgent incidents or provide additional information to update your current reports.

Police say “Thank you” to businesses and community members who have provided information to assist us in solving and preventing crime.
