Bundaberg CPW 2015 Fathers Day A

Acting Sergeant Timothy Lowth with Stephen Bennett MP Burnett and Kathy from Relationships Australia Bundaberg.

Dads across Bundaberg Patrol Group were able to celebrate yesterday at Foundations Care Family Fun Day and be recognised for the important role they play in families and society. We are fortunate to have a number of our male police officers and staff being dads in their private lives and in their professional policing role, they are often considered to be role models to children who may not have a father figure in their lives.

Yesterday also marked the commencement of Child Protection Week, which is held annually and highlights the work and messages that Child Protection is everybody’s business!  To find out more about local events being held this week, please visit here.

Congratulations to the team working on Bundaberg Child and Youth Protection Partnership, who last week were awarded at the 2015 Queensland Child Protection Week Awards as Winner of the Community Initiative category for Let their voices be heard.
