Earlier today, Sergeant Mark Gawronski paid a visit to Eidsvold State School for his role of Adopt-a-Cop.
Sergeant Gawronski was just in time for his favourite part of the day… story time with Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students.
He read them a book called Monsters Love Underpants, which the students all thought was very funny.
After reading to Miss Watts’ class, he handed out stickers and colouring sheets to the students.
The students were so excited for the visit and asked if he could read them a book every day.
To their delight, Sergeant Gawronski said that he would be back every week!
“Informal ‘drop in’ visits are one of the many functions that Adopt-a-Cops undertake in their adopted school community,” Sergeant Gawronski said.
“Although a voluntary role, it is a key way of interacting with the younger members of our community, building positive interactions and enhancing their safety and well-being.
“I am looking really forward to next weeks exciting storybook adventure!”
