Yesterday, six police officers from Bundaberg, Gin Gin and Childers completed their training in the new Kustom ProLaser LIDAR speed detection device.
Our officers will be out in force in the area ensuring our road users are safe and following the speed limit.
As this is the first week of Term 3 for schools, our Police have been conducting patrols around school zones to ensure the safety of our school children.
Please pay attention to speed limit signs, and in particular school zone times when the speed limit is 40km/h.
Exceeding speed limits can result in expensive Traffic Infringement Notices ranging from $174 and 1 demerit point to $1218 and 8 demerit points.
It’s not worth the risk!
