Bundaberg Patrol Group crime wrap, January 19

State false name or address: Police were conducting inquiries with a 32-year-old man in Thabeban Street, Avenell Heights at around 9pm last night.

It is alleged the man failed to state his full and correct name and was subsequently arrested in relation to this.

The man is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning.

Weapons Act offence: At around 12:50am this morning, police were conducting patrols around the vicinity of Woondooma Street, Bundaberg Central.

Police intercepted a vehicle and spoke with two males aged 17 and 25.

During investigations, it is alleged that two knives were located in the vehicle and subsequently seized by police.

A 25-year-old Bundaberg man was issued a notice to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on February 5 in relation to possession of a knife in a public place or a school.

Drug diversion: At around 10:50am on January 18, police were attending to a matter in Noakes Street, Childers.

As a result of investigations, a 25-year-old Childers man was allegedly found with drug related property.

The man is eligible for drug diversion in relation to this matter.

Drug driving: A 41-year-old Moore Park Beach man was intercepted by police at around 10.30am yesterday along Park Drive, Moore Park Beach.

The man allegedly provided a positive saliva test for illegal drugs and subsequently had his licence suspended for 24-hours.

The man is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on March 8.

Public nuisance: A 64-year-old Eidsvold woman was issued an infringement notice for $378 in relation to an incident that allegedly occurred in Moreton Street, Eidsvold on January 18.

It is alleged the woman displayed violent behaviour by assaulting a 58-year-old Eidsvold man.
