Traffic infringements for Thursday, March 30

Here is a snapshot of various traffic infringements issued by our Road Policing Unit officers on Thursday, March 30:

  • At around 6.20am a 22-year-old Bargara woman’s vehicle was observed by police on Bourbong Street, Bundaberg for parking on a road other than in direction of traffic flow. The registered owner will receive a Traffic Infringement Notice. Consequence = $48.
  • At around 6.25am a 40-year-old Kalkie woman was intercepted by police on Avoca Street, Millbank for travelling at an alleged speed of 71km/h in a 60km/h zone. Consequence = $162 and one demerit point.
  • At around 6.30am a 31-year-old Kalkie woman was intercepted by police on Thabeban Street, Avenell Heights for travelling at an alleged speed of 72km/h in a 60km/h zone. Consequence = $162 and one demerit point.
  • At around 6.30am a 32-year-old Prospect woman was intercepted by police on Duffy Street, Millbank for failing to stop at a ‘STOP’ sign at an intersection. Consequence = $365 and three demerit points.
  • At around 7.05am a 21-year-old Branyan man was intercepted by police on Childers Road, North Gregory for travelling at an alleged speed of 116km/h in a 100km/h zone. Consequence = $243 and three demerit points.
  • At around 9.10am a 66-year-old Norville man and a 54-year-old Norville woman were intercepted by police on Electra Street, Bundaberg Central. Both persons were issued Traffic Infringement Notices for the offence person smoking in motor vehicle when a person under 16 is in vehicle. Consequence = $243 each.
  • At around 9.20am a 33-year-old Sharon man was intercepted by police on Maryborough Street, Bundaberg Central for the offence of being an unauthorised vehicle in a taxi zone. Consequence = $243.
  • At around 1.45pm a 30-year-old Bundaberg South man was intercepted by police on Scotland Street, Bundaberg East for the offence of a driver using a hand-held device (mobile phone). Consequence = $365 and three demerit points.
  • At around 1.55pm a 53-year-old Bundaberg South man was intercepted by police on Crofton Street, Bundaberg Central for the offence of disobeying a ‘LEFT TURN’ sign. Consequence = $97 and three demerit points.
  • At around 9.10pm a 19-year-old Bundaberg North man was intercepted by police on Bargara Road, Kalkie for travelling at an alleged speed of 77km/h in a 60km/h zone. Consequence = $243 and three demerit points.
