At the present time we’re thinking of our colleagues, family, friends and visitors north of us as Cyclone Debbie continues to unfold.

We’ll naturally expect to see wet weather conditions over the next few days and as mother nature can be unpredictable, we need you to be prepared to weather any storm.

Wet weather gear for the week

Bright and visible

There are a number of key messages:

  • If it’s flooded, forget it
  • Stay indoors or at home and limit your driving to only essential travel
  • Listen, read, watch or view your local media. They’ll be there with updates on radio, print, television and social media platforms
  • If you take prescription medication, check your supplies and see if you need a script filled
  • Prepare your food and water supplies to cover at least three days

Police across Bundaberg Patrol Group are working collaboratively with a number of organisations to ensure safety is paramount for everyone.

We’re asking you to help us and be prepared by following four simple steps:

  1. Prepare your emergency plan
  2. Prepare your emergency and evacuation kits
  3. Prepare your home
  4. Tune into warnings
