Recent stealing from dwellings

Since January 1, police have received reports where items of property have allegedly been stolen from people’s homes, including yards, back decks and veranda areas.

Streets and suburbs affected include:

  • January 10: Marshall Street, Avenell Heights – footwear stolen.
  • January 9: Branyan Street, Bundaberg West – ladies bike stolen.
  • January 8: Cocking Street, Apple Tree Creek – ladies clothing and cash stolen.
  • January 8: Sunset Drive, Thabeban – alcohol stolen.
  • January 7: Dawn Parade, Thabeban – chainsaw, cigarettes, lighter, ashtray stolen.
  • January 7: Coolanblue Avenue, Innes Park – cigarettes stolen.
  • January 6: Tantitha Street, Bundaberg South – wallet containing cash and cards stolen. The wallet and cards were found in a nearby bush and have since been returned to the owner. The cash is still allegedly stolen.
  • January 3: Hunter Street, Walkervale – mobile phone stolen.

Please take the time to review where you leave your property and remind your neighbours to do the same.

It’s disappointing to say that opportunistic thieves are around.
