In under three hours, since 6.40am today, police in Bundaberg have intercepted five drivers who have provided positive saliva tests for illegal drugs and subsequently had their licence suspended for 24 hours.
- At around 6.40am, a 19-year-old Bundaberg North man was intercepted by police on Gavin Street, Bundaberg North. The man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on December 23.
- At around 7.10am, a 33-year-old Branyan man was intercepted by police on Branyan Drive, Avoca. The man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on December 23.
- At around 8.25am, a 38-year old Bundaberg North man was intercepted by police on Perry Street, Bundaberg North. The man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on December 15.
- At around 9.20am, a 41-year-old Burnett Heads man was intercepted by police on Quay Street, Bundaberg Central. The man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on December 23.
- At around 9.35am, a 49-year-old Thabeban man was intercepted by police on Barolin Street, Avenell Heights. The man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on December 23.
Drug drivers were also intercepted over the past two days at the following locations.
