It’s time to check your number plate and pay some attention to how it may be travelling.
You may have a registered personalised plate to accessorise your vehicle or enjoy simplicity with a standard issue registered plate.
All front and rear number plates need to be checked to ensure they are secure and do not fall off, or become an easy target for thieves.
To assist with preventing future thefts, vehicle owners are encouraged to visit your local auto or warehouse retailers to purchase anti-theft locking nuts or number plate screws.

- Between 6.30pm on September 11 and 7.00am on September 12, Queensland registration plate 789WEX was allegedly stolen from the rear of a vehicle at a Cevn Street, Childers address. QP1601717841 refers.
- Between 8am on September 2 and 6.30am on September 3, Queensland registration plate 635WGY was allegedly stolen from the front of a vehicle parked in Macrossan Street, Childers. QP1601691414 refers.
- Between September 6 and September 7, Queensland registration plates 603WAP were allegedly stolen from a vehicle parked in Palm Court, Moore Park Beach. QP1601685321 refers.
- Between August 31 and September 7, Queensland registration plate 985UDH was allegedly stolen from the front of a car carrier at a Churchill Street, Childers address. QP1601685213 refers.
