My road toll: High end speed offence, Redridge

Motorcycle riders are among our most vulnerable road users and risk taking behaviour, such as speeding, riding aggressively and failing to adhere to road rules, increases a rider’s crash risk.

The latest high end speed offence involved a 28-year-old male motorcyclist who was intercepted by Childers police on Goodwood Road, Redridge for an alleged speed offence of 163km/hr in a 100km/hr zone at 12.10pm on August 21.

The rider was issued a Traffic Infringement Notice for $1137 and will also face the consequence of eight demerit points and a six month suspension.

Bundaberg police are continuing investigations into a traffic crash with injury which allegedly occurred on Goodwood Road, Bundaberg at 7.30pm on August 21. An 18-year-old male motorcyclist from Millbank was injured.
