A stern reminder that alcohol does affect people differently and police continue to attend incidents where people are affected by alcohol either at a street location or in a vehicle.

Here are some of the offences that occurred in the Bundaberg Safe Night Precinct and near this area.

Sunday May 29

  • Bourbong Street, Bundaberg Central: A 38-year-old Strathpine man was charged with one count each of commit public nuisance licensed premises or in the vicinity of licensed premises and assault or obstruct police officer in public place whilst adversely affected by intoxicating substance. The man is scheduled to appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 24.
  • Bourbong Street, Bundaberg Central: A 28-year-old Bundaberg South man was issued a Liquor Infringement Notice for failing to leave licensed premises immediately when required. Consequence: $589.00. The man was also issued an Initial Police Banning Notice.
  • Targo Street, Bundaberg Central: A 26-year-old Bundaberg man was issued an infringement notice in relation to a public urination offence in or near a licensed premises. Consequence: $235.00.
  • Bourbong Street, Bundaberg Central: A 22-year-old tourist was issued an infringement notice in relation to a public urination offence in or near a licensed premises. Consequence: $235.00.
  • Targo Street, Bundaberg Central: A 21-year-old tourist was issued an infringement notice in relation to a public urination offence in or near a licensed premises. Consequence: $235.00.

Saturday May 28

  • Bourbong Street, Bundaberg Central: A 43-year-old Wagga Wagga man was charged in relation to an alleged Type 2c Drink Drive 0.15 per cent and over. The man is scheduled to appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning. The man was intercepted at approximately 9.45pm.
  • Takalvan Street, Bundaberg West: A 26-year-old Kepnock man was issued a Notice to Appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 24 in relation to an alleged Drink Driving charge 0.05 and under 0.10. The man was intercepted at approximately 1.15am.
