The message continues in Bundaberg with The Metro Hotel supporting the One Punch Can Kill campaign.

To assist front line policing, with the aim of stopping and preventing alcohol fuelled violence, here are some of the alcohol related offences that occurred in Bundaberg Patrol Group over the weekend:

Sunday, May 22

  • Queen Street, Cordalba: A 27-year-old Cordalba woman was charged with one count of fail to leave a licensed premises. The woman is scheduled to appear in Childers Magistrates Court on May 27.
  • Bourbong Street, Bundaberg Central: A 41-year-old Avenell Heights man was charged with one count of being intoxicated in a public place. The man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 23.
  • Tantitha Street, Bundaberg Central: A 35-year-old Bargara woman was issued an Initial Police Banning Notice. The woman is prohibited from entering or remaining in a public place located in the Bundaberg Safe Night Precinct until June 1.
  • Targo Street, Bundaberg Central: A 28-year-old Innes Park man was issued an Infringement Notice for public nuisance – violent behaviour in/near a licensed premises. Consequence:  $706. The man was also issued an Initial Police Banning Notice.
  • Targo Street, Bundaberg Central: A 32-year-old Broadbeach man was charged with one count of Contravene Police Banning Notice. The man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 17.

Saturday, May 21

  • Crofton Street, Bundaberg Central: A 16-year-old Bundaberg South young person was charged with one count each of commit public nuisance and assault or obstruct police officer in public place whilst adversely affected by intoxicating substance. The young person will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
  • Targo and Tantitha Streets, Bundaberg: A 20-year-old Banyo man was charged with one count of unregulated high-risk activities. The man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 17.
