Weekend solved crime, Bundaberg Patrol Group

Over the weekend, police were out and about across the Bundaberg Patrol Group divisions and here are some of the offences they have solved:

Assault/Obstruct Police

  • On May 8 at approximately 12:50am a 23-year-old male tourist allegedly assaulted a police officer at a Quay Street location. The man was arrested and charged with one count of assault or obstruct police officer and is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 16.

Drink Driving

  • On May 7 at approximately 5:40pm a 29-year-old Monto man was intercepted along the Burnett Highway, Monto for a roadside breath test, which indicated a positive reading. The man is scheduled to appear at Monto Magistrates Court on June 29 .
  • On May 7 at approximately 3:50pm a 23-year-old Monto man was intercepted along the Burnett Highway, Moonford for a roadside breath test, which indicated a positive reading. The man is scheduled to appear at Monto Magistrates Court on June 29.

Drugs

  • On May 8 at approximately 12:15pm Bargara police responded to information received from community members about a makeshift camp site set up on the dunes of a beach at Rifle Range Road. Police located a number of alleged drug related items and an 18-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 10 in relation to possessing drug utensils.
  • On May 8 at approximately 2:00pm Bargara police were attending to police related matters in Bathurst Street, Elliott Heads. A 21-year-old Elliott Heads man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 3 in relation to possessing a drug utensil.
  • On May 7 at approximately 12:45am police were responding to a matter in Arthur Street, Bundaberg South where they located a 43-year-old Hervey Bay man who was allegedly found to be in possession of dangerous drugs. The man is scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 30 in relation to one count each of possessing dangerous drugs and possess utensils.
  • On May 7 a 19-year-old Moore Park Beach woman was eligible for drug diversion in relation to possessing dangerous drugs.

Shop Stealing 

  • Two 23-year-old male tourists have each been issued with a Notice to Appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 23 in relation to an unauthorised dealing with shop goods offence, which allegedly occurred on May 8 at a Maryborough Street, Bundaberg Central address.
