Tuesday is a day when officers and staff continue to respond to and investigate offences, conduct patrols and road safety enforcement.
Road policing and traffic enforcement on Tuesday, March 1 and Tuesday, March 8 included:
- 237 x Roadside Breath Tests (RBTs)
- 10 x Exceed speed limit in speed zone by at least 13km/h but not more than 20km/h
- 5 x Exceed 100km/h (default speed limit) by less than 13km/h
- 4 x Exceed speed limit in speed zone by less than 13km/h
- 4 x Exceed 100km/h (default speed limit) by at least 13km/h but not more than 20km/h
- 2 x Exceed speed limit in school zone by at least 13km/h but not more than 20km/h
- 2 x Use/permit use of unregistered 4 cylinder or 2 rotor motor vehicle
- 2 x Use/permit use of unregistered 5 or 6 cylinder or 3 rotor motor vehicle
- 2 x Drive/park a defective vehicle
- 1 x Exceed speed limit in speed zone by more than 30km/h but not more than 40km/h
- 1 x Exceed 50km/h (lower default speed limit BUA) by at least 13km/h but not more than 20km/h
- 1 x Exceed 100km/h (default speed limit) by more than 20km/h but not more than 30km/h
- 1 x Enter level crossing while warning lights or bells operating
- 1 x Driver use hand-held mobile phone
- 1 x Drive motor vehicle in a way that makes unnecessary noise or smoke
- 1 x Driver fail to wear seatbelt
- 1 x Bicycle rider fail to wear helmet
- 1 x Fail to give way to vehicle at “Give Way” sign at intersection not roundabout
- 1 x Type 1B Evade police
- 1 x Type 2B Driving whilst unlicensed
- 1 x Fail to Ensure load on Private L Vehicle complies with requirements
- 1 x Disobey directional arrow on road unless permitted
- 1 x Drive/park vehicle fitted with optional equipment not complying with vehicle standards
