Recently solved crime

Here is a snapshot of some investigations Bundaberg Patrol Group officers have attended to in the last week and solved.

  • On February 2 police executed a search warrant at a Cocos Drive, Avoca address where property allegedly stolen was located. A 22-year-old Avoca woman was arrested and charged with one count each of stealing and possess stolen property. The woman is scheduled to appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on February 5. During this search a 45-year-old woman was also issued a Notice to Appear in relation to a drug offence.
  • On February 1 two young people aged 15 and 16 years from Burnett Heads were eligible for drug diversion following investigations into found property located on Australia Day.
  • On February 1 Criminal Investigation Branch officers executed a search warrant at a Mount Perry Road, Bundaberg North address where property allegedly stolen in January was located, in addition to drug related items. A 45-year-old man was arrested and charged with eleven offences relating to drugs, burglary and fraud. The man is scheduled to appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on March 11. A 40-year-old woman was issued a Notice to Appear in relation to four offences.
  • On January 29 police attended a Svensson Heights address in relation to a Domestic and Family Violence incident. During this investigation police located dangerous drugs and a 30-year-old Bundaberg East man has been charged with one count each of contravene a domestic violence order, possess dangerous drug and possess utensil. The man is scheduled to appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on February 5.
  • On January 28 a 42-year-old Bundaberg North man was arrested and charged with one count of common assault. The man is scheduled to appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on February 12.
  • On January 28 Criminal Investigation Branch officers executed a search warrant at a Sims Road, Walkervale address where property allegedly stolen was located, in addition to drug related items. A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged with one count each of burglary, possess dangerous drug and possess utensil. An 18-year-old man was also charged with one count of possess utensil. Both men are scheduled to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on February 22.
  • On January 26 police attended an incident at a Childers Road, Kensington address where it is alleged a drug related item was located. A 41-year-old woman was charged with one count of possess utensil. Police were later called to the same address where the 41-year-old woman was arrested and issued a Notice to Appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on February 12 in relation to one count of public nuisance.
  • On January 26 a 52-year-old Branyan man was intercepted by police for the purpose of a Roadside Breath Test. The policing device indicated a positive reading whereby police needed to transport the man to Bundaberg station for a secondary test. A safety search was conducted where it is alleged a dangerous drug was located. Subsequently the man was charged with one count each of drink driving and possess dangerous drug and is scheduled to appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court.
  • On January 26 police attended an incident at a McIlwraith Street, Bundaberg South address where it is alleged dangerous drugs were located. Subsequently a 23-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were both issued with a Notice to Appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on February 26 in relation to one count of possess dangerous drug.
  • On January 26 police attended a traffic crash along the Bruce Highway at Apple Tree Creek where a 19-year-old North Isis man was charged with one count each of driving without due care and attention, driving unlicensed and drink driving. The man is due to appear in Childers Magistrates Court on February 19.
