Vehicle offences since January 15

Bundaberg Patrol Group officers are currently investigating a number of offences which occurred in January and involve vehicles. Again, we remind community members to remove valuables from vehicles and ensure their vehicle windows and doors are locked.

Multiple offences

  • At approximately 7:30am on January 31 a black 1997 Toyota Hilux was located burnt out at the intersection of Coonarr Road and Dr Mays Crossing Road, Coonarr. The vehicle was allegedly stolen after 5:00pm on January 30 from a Corser Street, Burnett Heads address.   • At approximately 10:00pm on January 23 a grey 2009 Audi car was located burnt out at Clayton Road, Alloway. The vehicle was allegedly stolen after 5:15am on January 22 from a Yarabah Court, Bundaberg East address.   • At approximately 5:45am on January 15 a white 2010 Holden Commodore was located destroyed in the irrigation channel at the corner of Goodwood Road and Bundaberg Ring Road, Bundaberg. Stealing from motor vehicle/enter with intent

  • Between 10:30pm on January 29 and 12:20am on January 30 a group of four tourists aged between 18 and 24 years were driving through Mount Perry and have stopped, leaving their vehicle headlights on causing the car battery to go flat. The tourists have allegedly then left their vehicle and stolen a 12 volt battery from a nearby light truck on Heusman Street, Mount Perry and returned to their vehicle, fitted the battery and continued on their travels. If you have information which may assist investigators, please contact Policelink and quote reference number QP1600178650.
  • On January 27 between 10:00am and 11:00am unknown offender/s have allegedly stolen property including personal accessories, bank/ID cards, cash and a mobile phone from an unlocked vehicle parked on Woondooma Street. If you have information which may assist investigators, please contact Policelink and quote reference number QP1600183712.
  • On January 25 between 12:00pm and 12:30pm unknown offender/s have allegedly stolen property including personal accessories, bank/ID cards, cash and cigarettes from the console area of an unlocked vehicle parked in University Drive, Branyan. The victim in this matter was assisting an elderly couple change a tyre at the time the offence occurred.   • On January 23 between 1:45pm and 4:00pm unknown offender/s have allegedly stolen property including four shopping bags containing children’s school shoes with orthotic inner soles, school accessories, clothing, lego, paperback novels and other items from a canopy area, where a side window was closed, although unlocked.   • Between 6:00pm on January 20 and 8:00am on January 21 unknown offender/s have allegedly stolen property including a GPS, two pairs of sunglasses and an assortment of CD’s from the glove box of an unlocked vehicle parked in Steuart Street, Bundaberg North. If you have information which may assist investigators, please contact Policelink and quote reference number QP1600124153.
  • Between 5:00pm on January 20 and 6:30am on January 21 unknown offender/s have allegedly stolen property including five power tools, battery chargers and batteries from a tool box located in the tray of a utility vehicle parked in Steuart Street, Bundaberg North.   • On January 20 between 4:50pm and 5:30pm unknown offender/s have allegedly stolen a wallet containing personal accessories from a console area in an unlocked vehicle parked in Avenell Street, Avenell Heights. If you have information which may assist investigators, please contact Policelink and quote reference number QP1600120403.
  • Between 5:00pm on January 17 and 5:00pm on January 18 unknown offender/s have allegedly stolen a red/black Polaris 12007 quad bike from a Childers Road, North Isis address. At the time of offence the quad bike did not have a battery in place, so it is alleged the offender/s have supplied their own or removed the bike by unknown means. If you have information which may assist investigators, please contact Policelink and quote reference number QP1600111052.
  • On January 16 between 8:00pm and 10:30pm unknown offender/s have allegedly stolen property including cash and sunglasses from a locked vehicle parked in Hinkler Avenue. Offender/s have used an unknown implement to unlock the vehicle and gain access to the glove box. If you have information which may assist investigators, please contact Policelink and quote reference number QP1600156528.
  • On January 15 between 9:00am and 10:00am unknown offender/s have allegedly stolen property including cash, cigarettes and a bank card from a locked vehicle parked in Amaroo Crescent, Innes Park or while the owner was out and parked in Bourbong Street, Bundaberg.
