Traffic Infringement Notices

Yes, it’s true Bundaberg Patrol Group officers were writing lines on the first day back at school.

These lines were traffic infringement notices, also known as tickets or fines to some.

Officers issued tickets in school zones between 7:30am – 9:00am, 2:30pm – 4:00pm and one officer was writing between 11:45am and 12:30pm, at an all day school zone.

  • Four x exceed speed limit in school zone by at least 13km/h but not more than 20km/h. Consequence: $235 and three demerit points.
  • Three x exceed speed limit in school zone by less than 13km/h. Consequence: $157 and one demerit point.

Thank you to motorists who obeyed road rules in the aim to keep everyone safe.

Bundaberg Patrol Group will continue to patrol and conduct traffic enforcement in and around school communities.
